I am supposed to escort Lord Tavorick to his crypt and protect him from demons. I escorted him down and killed everything in the basement including that big dude... except nothing happens afterwards. I tried reloading from a previous savepoint 4 times with the same result. How do I get past this part?

SPOILERS: Not sure what's wrong, but here's the way it worked for me... Went down to crypt with the entourage. Killed demons down there. After combat while still in the crypt spoke to noble. He gives his last gasp words and moves the plot along. Did you try talking to him?

Oh sorry about the spoiler thing. Yeah I tried talking to him, but I can't get the talking cursor to appears... so nothing happens. Maybe I am guarding him too well? He is healthy and doesn't do a last gasp thing...
You'll have to reload from somewhere before he joins your party and comes to the main hall. Let him take some hits and fall. After killing all the demons in the area, talk to the guards and they'll say "Lord Tavorick has fallen". If you go on to the crypt, that area is even more buggy. And totally unnecessary. Go near Tavorick, but DON'T HEAL HIM or anything. RIGHT CLICK and talk to him, he'll tell you about the girl having the shard, and then he'll die. His death doesn't matter, I think.
That's insane. Tovarik never took a hit the 2 times I"ve played through the game. The last time I had the same problem, nothing happening. I think I ran around, then I got pissed and called my computer a few out of sorts names. Eventually, I got passed it. How? Sorry, dont remember. Im pretty sure I simply talked to him after everyone got out of combat mode. Might have spoken to the guard NPC as well. Just hold your cursor over him, hold down the right mouse button until the menu pops up.
