Shock trooper vs commando

    I am soldier in mass effect 1 and I want to use assault rifle only. Which is better to use?

    If you use rifle only - shock trooper.

    Unless you value 20% damage more than 14% health and 16% DR. I would not.

    It depends on the difficulty setting. In the hardest settings, the extra health and protection is godly. On lower settings, the extra damage helps out more, relatively speaking. (i.e. faster killing, while a Soldier in upgraded Heavy Armour is virtually invunerable anyway on those settings.)
