    Is it possible to enable a notification of private messages? I always notice a couple of days after I got them that they are there. Having an e-mail sent would be great. Any option like that?

    You should get notification when you open GB, at least I do. Do you have pop-ups blocked?

    Yes, got pop ups blocked, but it doesn't seem to stop some adds, so why would it stop notifications?

    A feature like this already exists. Access "User CP" and navigate to "Edit Options". The checkbox you are looking for is under the Messaging & Notification section.
