   I rolled a character and got great scores on all the stats except one. When levelling up, how do your abilities get increased (str, dex etc.)? Do you choose what to invest points in or does it happen automatically?

   I'm afraid you're stuck with the stats you rolled on character creation, barring a few quest rewards and a couple of items that modify your attributes (mostly strength).
