Icewind Dale 1 remained the last of the five original Infinity Engine games not to feature a lively, interactive party of NPCs. The release of Icewind Dale NPCs changes all that. Team your hero of the frozen north with an eclectic band, thrown together by circumstance to face down the forces menacing the Dale. IWD NPCs features five fully-realized joinable characters with all the depth you would expect from PPG companions, complete with original portraits, voice acting, inter-party and PC-focused dialogue, and romantic possibilities. As one of the playtesters, I can say this is one of the best mods out there (and not just for IWD). It adds a great deal to the storyline, pulling you in more than before. I highly recommend it. Speaking of which, I need to download the final release. I'm still using the beta version (no soundsets). I'm anxious to hear the NPCs voices.

Very rarely during a game a party member dies and "loses" his dialogue file. Is there way to apply this to my created characters? It seems it only work with the given characters only.. I also want the dialogue to call the name created by mine, instead of given name in the patch..
