I've got my players, the idea for the guild, the money involved, catchy recruitment macros, etc etc. I just need a name. A few details on the guild: - It's an RP guild. - It's for neutral characters only. This can include True Neutral, Neutral Good, and Neutral Evil. - The theme behind it is a group of people who accept contracts. They do not necessarily have to work together. - All classes and races are allowed. Now a few details on the type of name I'm looking for: - It has to indicate a group or organization. (i.e: No phrases like <We Are The Horde>) - It must be serious. (i.e: Nothing like <Exalted With Your Mom>) - It must not be something from outside WoW. (ex: Servants of Mask) - Preferably nothing that raises us above others. (ex: Gods, Masters, Lords) - It shouldn't indicate alignment, or be race/class specific. - It can't have anything to do with religion. These people work for themselves, not a deity. (i.e: No <Cult of>) - I'd prefer not to use words like Company, Co, Inc, etc. - I would prefer multiple words. (i.e: Nothing like <Silence>) Guild names already rejected: <Servants of Mask>, <Clandestine>, <Shadow of the Elders> Guild names being considered: <Children of Shadow>, <The Hidden Palm>, <The Arms of Sorrow>, <The Defiant>. Helpful words: Forbidden, Silence, Shadow, Sorrow, Hidden, Wandering, Brotherhood, Syndicate, Night, Children, Cartel, etc. Rejected words: Cult, Cabal, Servants, Masters, Lords, Gods, Kings, Rulers, Church, Followers, etc. If anyone could help me pick a name from those considered, or hopefully provide me with some help or suggest a name, that would be much appreciated! Sorry for being so specific.
Considering your notion of accepting contracts and general alignment, how about something involving the word "Mercenaries?" Mercenaries of Twilight Mercenaries of Shadow Mercenaries of Defiance Just an idea anyway.
I like the idea personally. However, considering we take contracts individually as well as in groups, I'm not really sure if the term applies. I'll run it by the others though, thanks for your help. Still looking for other ideas.
If you feel like going for something abstract but unique (and sometimes not quite so abstract), try NOEMATA. It's a really good random word generator that even catches me by surprise sometimes. I use it for MMO characters and stuff. The words it produces are unique and have a way of sticking in your memory.

The majority vote between us was <Children of the Shadows>. I, personally, find it to be a bit too generic, but it will do, I suppose. Thanks for all the help!
I don't know if this will help... But I was going to make one called "Via Dead" = undead gang. It means "Long live dead" hehe!
