I don't know about everyone else but before i start any single player RPG I have an idea of "who" i want my character to be and how i want my character to play. Most of the time i get in the zone and take on this personality while playing the game and "for me" it makes it alot more fun. Does anyone use this method? And how does it work for you?

Yeah, I do that myself when I'm playing the game first time. I usually end up playing a bit so that I know what kind of options I have for my character, then usually restart the game and start from the beginning and play the character in the way I planned.

If I replay the game I go with two different routes, depending on the game:
    1) I change the way my character thinks and act and roleplay my character again. Usually I do this if I want to experience the other side of the story, if such is available.
    2) I just use the most efficient behavior for each situation so that I can experience everything the game has to offer, for example the side quests I may have missed.
