Personally I liked Fallout 3 best, I like the Super Mutants and Enclave running amok. The story line was better as well. It also has a more desolate feel than New Vegas, though I definately LOVE the companion wheel. The Cazadors are just too annoying to deal with.
I have to say that the first two were definitely my favorites. On the one side, I'd choose one, due to the humble beginnings, but, for the purpose of choosing a single game, I'll go with the second one, due to a greater degree of customization, more advanced moves and maneuvers and of course because you get to see how the wasteland evolved from the time of the original vault dweller.
I think the same as Crenshinibon. I think only people who played all Fallouts should be allowed to vote. ;-)
The second - bar none. Fallout 1 was a good game, but the sequel was just more and better. Fallout 3 ... no thanks. Didn't like it. Oblivion with guns and mutants were too boring. I'd rather replay FO:Tactics a dozen times before booting up FO:3 again.
I definitely agree with Gawain, so I won't be voting yet. I'm away from home for a fortnight, and F1 and 2 should be ideal for my netbook, so I'll be playing those. Once I've done so I'll vote, but I strongly suspect that I'll be putting F3 in last place, at least I hope so, the stories can't be as bad as F3, and surely the main quests can't be anywhere near as short! PS I haven't bought New Vegas, and won't do until I can get it for less than a $20, with plugins. If F3 is a guide, that's all it'll be worth, and what I paid for F3 GOTY; it was just about worth that. So I guess I won't be voting for a while after all.
My list goes Fallout 2, Fallout, New Vegas and Fallout 3. Note that I did like each one of them, though the original two are just way ahead of the Fallout 3 and New Vegas. On side note, why Tactics wasn't one the list?
That's right. I believe the speedrun for the first game was in about nine minutes or so. Despite people saying that New Vegas is better, I honestly had a very difficult time getting into the game. It just failed to pique my interest in every possible way.
My list: 1. Fallout 2 Bigger and better in every way than the first. This game completely sucked me in. I've completed it countless of times. 2. Fallout Very good game. I actually only played it after I stumbled on and completed Fallout 2. 3. Fallout: New Vegas Nothing compared to the first two but much better than Fallout 3. Some quests are quite good while others are kind of 'meh'. The combat is boring as hell though. 4. Fallout Tactics Being a fan of tactical combat in games like King's Bounty, X-Com etc this could have been good. It wasn't. In fact I didn't even finish it because it was too boring. Not enough customization & interesting combat objects. 5. Fallout 3 Boring sums it up. Boring combat. Boring quests. Even the exploration/sightseeing was boring in this game compared to Morrowind/Oblivion.
I voted for 1 over 2, because the second Fallout had a huge unfinished, boring, useless area called San Francisco. There was more to do on brahim farms than in the enormous city. It was a huge let-down. Also the story was quite poor when compared to its prequel. Tribes? The deleted content patch is am ust have Still Fallout 2 was amazing and earth-shattering with its awesomeness.. But In my honest opinion the first one topped it. F3 biggest plus was exploration. One should visit each area in the game. Everything about it was mediocre at best though. NV was slightly better, but it couldn't keep me playing. F Tactics is boring.
My favorite is FALLOUT 3 i love it because of the flexible character leveling system, it also gives the feel of survival horror games... Regards ______________ fight games
I voted Fallout one. It just has the perfect atmosphere of a post-apocalyptic world. The second is great too though, and actually was the one that got me sucked into the series. Fallout 3 was a complete flop. New Vegas was awesome I thought, I loved it. You could tell there was some intelligence in the writing compared to 3. Shame about it using the Fallout 3 engine though.
it's hard to pick between the first two, but definitely one of those. I didn't hate Fallout 3 but I did get bored of it before finishing all of the content, but will probably return to it at some point. haven't tried New Vegas yet but will eventually
Fallout New Vegas definatly Fallout was good but i didnt like the game play as much Fallout 2 just didnt really feel a good storyline Fallout 3 Good i like alot but didnt like the ending So I think Fallout New Vegas was the best it was really fun and I thought that all the choices you had to make is awsome. I really hope they make another and I wonder where it will take place?
