Edit problems with Near Infinity

    Hey folks,

    I am using the Weimar Mod for Imp. Bastard Swords and additional equipment. Now I have the problem that the author of this mod was especially lazy and a lot of equipment has a blank identified description leaving me with no information about the item ingame.

    Since I am a nice person I want to add those myself, and meanwhile also reducing some of the ridiculous changes of the bastard sword upgrade (+1 weapon with 5d6 extra elemental damage, 15/- elemental resists and Sure Striking found in chapter 1? +2 Weapon with permanent Executioner's Eyes? Seriously?)

    My problem is that the Infinity Engine seems to not tie the discriptions to the weapons directly but rather links them from a list of strings.
    Problem is to add that I have to make my own string and edit that, but how can I ensure I am chosing a string number which does not conflict with another?
    Do not worry I already made a backup copy of my dialogue.tlk and will also save my descriptions to another file so in a pinch I can copy and paste them back but I still I want to be able to be sure I will not create any conflict.
    Can any more experienced modder help me?
    On a side note, how can I increase the critical threat range of a weapon? Just curious.

    I think only by making it a keen weapon .It increases the critical threat range by 1.
