Adding spells w/ the editor Anybody know what I'm doing wrong? : I used the editor to cheat in some new celestial crystals for my character (there are loads that otherwise don't show up in the game), but the crystals are empty and don't charge up. I even tried selling them and buying them back (for a buck!).
Adding quest items to your game editor. I like your game editor. I am wondering if you could add quest items into the editor. I sold a quest item, which is way I thought of this idea (it was the candle for the Adept quest). Thanks for your hard work. Fullerton

Me and my friend play multiplayer dungeon lords 1.5 CE . But , when i try to edit a savegame with both of us in it , it only loads his character! How can i switch back to mine?
This is odd I try to move my character through the world map and when I save I get this: Just for the record I'm on Vista and do not think I can go to XP (It's not my computer)
((( When I starts editor (1.56) and try to save my changes, after backing up message appears: "Permission denied, because this file used by another process" Or: "Throw chars overflow" P. S. I works under Vista Ultimate and use DL Collectors Edition 1.5
This editor does not work.... I've tried several times to start a brand new game in god mode and every time I load my character there stats and funds aren't changed. So far, I have downloaded all the editor versions and dotnetfx.exe of course. (I ran it 1st.) I have the 1.5 version of this game and I am running windows vista. Someone please help me out.
First of all: Thanks for this great editor. But there is one problem that I have: When saving, the experience points are replaced with the advance points, so tht I have to use a second editor (which is not as good as yours for editing) to set them back to the original value.
Need Help with CE on Vista This is the first game I have tried to use an editor with on vista. I have been playing this game on this computer for about a week, yet when I open the editor I get a message saying that the game is not loaded and needs to be to proceed. It lets me in and when I search for the game saves it says none in the folder. I know that there are in fact three game saves in there from going through windows explorer. How do I get your program to recognize my game saves.
Just Another Vote, and a suggestion I gave the editor (v1.56beta) a 6... it can do the job, but it only has one screen size - HUGE. I'm using XP Pro on a Celeron "D" desktop, 1G RAM, and a GeForce 5200 card, so no problems with crashes, stalls, or stutter. I had the game 'sorta' working on a laptop with Vista, but Vista just plain sucks... so I dumped it and loaded XP Home and the laptop works fine now. I tried bringing in the edges, but there are no scrollers to let me see other parts of the editor. I don't seem to be able to view the bottom either. I don't have a wide-screen monitor or an option to view wide-screen with the blank black bars top and bottom, so I don't get to see or use all of the features. I understand that this is a beta and nobody can make a 'one-size-fits-all', so I'm not ranting, just suggesting the scrollbars to be added, along with a minimize feature. Then I could have the game running with the ability to pop into the editor and change save-games with anything I choose, then reload to use the changes. Kinda like a 'edit-on-the-fly' sorta thing. I suppose I could code it in myself, but I'm just too lazy and heavily medicated to do it. All in all tho, a dang good-looking piece of work. If I could see it all, I'd give it a 10. A great big "Thank You" for making this project. I'm looking forward to trying the next version.
Just downloaded I just downloaded this game editor right after i downloaded the v1.4 patch(since my game was 1.3 in the first place) So first I made a new character since the last one was only compatible with v1.3. But when I tried to load a character to edit, I clicked on load character and it led to the dungeon lords save folder, but the only file there was a file by the name of game00. So i double clicked on it and it containded this text. Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately. The process cannot access the file 'C:\ProgramFiles\Dreamcatcher\Dungeon Lords\save\game00.sav' because it is being used by another process. I do not have dungeon lords open when doing this, if I did then it would crash since the game does not support tab switching. What do i do? Does the game hold it's files in a different folder? Somebody help please? Also, can somebody post a step-by-step guide on how to use it? Just to help? Please?
New problem K now i downloaded the v1.55 game editor and now when i click load character on either of them, it closes the program, without saying anything, it just closes.
This is commonly called the "strike bug". It is caused by your character's Dexterity being too high. Bring the dexterity down under 100 (preferably, to about 75, since some equipment also increases the strike rating), and this should be fixed.
What I do, is anytime I edit a player, I put the EXP Points shown in the Advance Points field. When I save it keeps everything correct. This way both exp and adv points remain unchanged.
Stupid question but... I don't know how to add items into my character's inventory. I added them with GE V1.56 but when I log in game, nothing is happen. Only thing I can do is change skill points, heraldry,...but I dont need this change. I need items only, so sad.
If you are adding certain items, you have to adjust the quantities for the item. For armor and shields, adjust quantity 1. Runes and celestial crystals are 100 points for each rune/crystal, and use both quantities. (For five Geomynn runes, adjust both quantities to 500. For ten crystals of vision, adjust both quantities to 1000.) (If you increase quantity 2, and not quantity 1, you will have to wait for the crystals/runes to recharge - although, in the past, spells added this way have not recharged for me, so I suggest making sure you set both quantities to the same number. Same for arcane spells.) For nether kataals and potions, increase quantity 2, one point for each individual item. Arcane spells use both quantities, increased at one point for each spell. For items that have an invocation, increase quantity 2 for how many invocations you want the item to have. (Items that are not programmed to invoke anything will not have anything to invoke simply by increasing this; so this will only have an effect on things like Ring of Horror, Band of the Serpent, etc.) I don't know what "Timer" or "Other" affects. Check "ID'd" in order to have the item identified (so that you don't have to ID it in the game). Checking "Junk" will put the item in your junk inventory (no reason to do that, unless you add multiples of an item which would usually place something into your junk inventory). If you check "Equip", your character should have the item equipped upon loading the game. (Equipping more than one item to a single slot - two belts, for example - may cause your game to crash.)
