I lost all my DII characters recently, so I'm starting again, with my favourite character, currently lvl 18. I doubt now between Charged Strike as a main-melee attack & Jab. CS has AoE and is a good boss killer and gives synergy to my bread & butter Lightning Fury. (The lvl 30 throwing skill, I tend to mix up the names.) However, especially with bad gear, mana is an issue to the extent that the skill isn't very useful as "main". Jab is much more mana efficient & a tremendous help to regain energy. Damage is lower, though, and no AoE About gear: I only have Manald Heal, Nagelring, Chance Guards & Stealth. (Got them from a friend.) I only play singleplayer (players8) and have no intrest whatsoever in going online. (Except to trade, obviously.)
I'm not entirely sure what ur question is. From what I can tell ur question is jab or charged strike. Until u gear up jab will probably be preferable for the reasons u listed. I may be wrong but I didnt think u could switch players easily from online to single player and as such it may make gearing up difficult.
if bad with gear use Insight on a merk to solve all mana problems. i dont understand who are you trading with in singleplayer.
im unsure if ungeared Javazon will be able to clear players 8 hell. Jab or not. But i wouldnt deviate from standard builds, they have been time proven heh. Latest patch adds 3 skill resets so in fact it is possible to use skills more freely now. Insight is Ral Tir Tal Sol, should get it just by playing the game once.
