    I am having a difficult time destroying the Tainted Sun Altar. I worked my way down here with no surviving beasts but for some reason can not destroy the altar. I have played the game before and had no problem. Help! Gene

    1) get the amu
    2) get the staff
    3) cube the amu + staff to get the big staff
    4) put the big staff in the altar ;)

    No, that's not right. You have to destroy the tainted sun altar to get the horadric amulet in the first place. You're describing how to unlock Tal-Rasha's tomb.

    i have the same problem some times. hold shift while walking towards it and it should let you move right next to it in order to click it. same thing happens with the goo walls in the maggot lair and the seals in the chaos sanctuary.
