"Don't worry about what the guys are saying about Hell's Kitchen." "You had other priorities, I'm sure you would have helped out with the shootout." Well, that's what I always get after the first day on the job. Played the game countless times and I'm always helping out at the shootout outside of the 'Ton hotel. But they're always saying that as I come back to HQ. Is there something else to this? I'm asking because something weird happened. Do you know those two UNATCO troopers who complain about Paul and want to give you the gas grenades he have them? Well, I accepted them and headed off towards the NSF troopers. And there was a firefight! I threw the gas grenade at them and the weirdest thing happened. The friend-or-foe indicators around the NSF soldiers turned green. But the other UNATCO troopers just kept shooting at them anyway, so there really wasn't anything else I could do. A glitch? I got the feeling today that there is more to this little shootout. Deus Ex is the kind of game that keeps surprising you, even after eight years. Has anyone ever passed through this early part of the game with different results?
