Hello all just wondering if this has happened to any one, been playing the game quite a while and with this character a thief type level 40 and sneak 100% he has stopped sneaking, can anyone help with this thanks.
Yep playing on pc and everything was working ok yes using the ctrl key for sneaking thought it may be the keyboard so i re assigned the key to another still not working then i reloaded another save with sneak about 91 and it worked NP its like when i goto 100% in sneak it worked ok for a couple of days UpDate ok not sure if this had anything to do with it but when this started i was in a quest in the area of Tolvalds. ok as soon as i get what i need to finish that part of the quest sneak started working again
Weird. Were you crouching but not sneaking, or could you not crouch at all? Do you have any mods installed that could be getting in the way of that? Or, are you using the game's 1.7 beta patch on Steam?
Like i said i got it working ????? not sure how, but it was like i was not pressing the ctrl if you know what i mean, no crouching, i do have a few mods but they have never been a problem and not using bata patch
Well, glad things are working. It's just a pretty strange bug, is all. Hopefully your game install (or computer) doesn't have any issues.
I went in a tested a theory and I was right. if you assign right Ctrl as sneak it does not work to press left Ctrl. even though it says "Ctrl" as the set button no matter what. it is quite possible you hit the rightCtrl to "set" the button and did not even realize it. then when you went back you may have set it back to leftCtrl. its the only thing I can come up with unless it was a temporary glitch.......
