Which is the best damage spell of them all? Is it Harm like some ppl say or is it Firelash/Lightning Bolt?... I wanna know, I'm thinking of creating a mage and I don't wanna waste skills
Harm makes the game super easy, when it comes to value for money harm wins out by far. Fireflash is also a really good spell due to it's splash damage and it's ability to total boxes and obsticals, while doing significant damage. Unfortunately Fireflash will damage equipement on people so use only on people who don't seem to be holding anything intresting.
Disintegrate is by far the most powerful combat spell there is (and probably the best one as well). However, as a level 5 spell, it takes tremendous amounts of fatigue to cast (50) and it destroys all of the items the target is carrying on itself. However, once you get to Tulla and get a mastery in Force, it will take half the fatigue to cast, making it excellent against extremely powerful creatures (and human enemies if you're willing to sacrifice some loot).
Disintegrate is pretty much a must for a mage, if only to deal with those pesky elementals and golems.
Using spells on monsters huh? I tend to use Disintegrate on doors and things I want "out of the way" but be careful you can accidently destroy stairs and things you well... kinda need... to use spells on objects, if people don't know, you hold alt down in combat mode and you fire at ANYTHING as if its a target... quite fun really...
