confused (spoilers)

I was always under the impresion that Geralt had to kill dagon before he recieved the silver sword from the lady of the lake .
I was reading through your walk through and it says that as soon as I complete the heat of the day quest then I can go talk to julion and he would tell me that the fisher king would like to see me .
When I speak to the fisher king he tells me that the lady of the lake would like to see me .
When I go to the lady of the lake she gives me the new silver sword .
Am I reading this right?

The sword is awarded during the quest the Paths of Destiny, but you can't get to it without completing the quest the Heat of the Day. Dagon's quest is something different, and it provides its own reward.

The walkthrough is basically the very definition of a spoiler. Some people don't want to know anything about the game when they play it, so any post that gives away information about quests or characters or equipment should be flagged.
