Battle inside inn (Act 3) {Major Spoilers}

I decided to kill the warewolf. After that, i spoke to Triss and she told me to go into the inn.
When entering the inn, there are some knights who attack me because i killed Vincent Meis (they don't know that he was a warewolf). So a battle begins and before i realize it my vitality is nearly zero. I drink swallow, try to drink blizzard for help, but it dosn't help. I'm dead soon enough.
Any ideas on how to kill the knights and progress into the game?

I can't give you a surefire way to win, but try to use a strategy of the Aard sign (I think it is called; the "stun/push" sign) - but use it to give yourself some "free space", be careful using it for coup d'grace (sp?) cause it leaves you open to attacks.

Dodge a lot (meaning, do a hit n' run tactic... hit a knight or two and then dogde around, run etc), do not stand still in a location to much. It is much better to hit once or twice, then jump behind the enemy and run a bit a way, then being surrounded and hit by 5+ enemies.

Use the strong fighting style and steel. (Avoid group style, unless you are superior in prowess to the enemies)

Try to drink the blizzard potion fast, possible while under the protection of the "shield" sign (can't remember the name). It'll help you dodge. And of course a tawny oil for endurance to keep the sign powers going.
If at all possible, try to buff up with some of the potions before entering the tavern (semi-cheese, but hey ... )

I found the ideas above usefull. Also kill the mage first. I used the short set of stairs with rails to cut the group of fows down to one at a time. I funneled them in, be careful because they can flank you up the other set of short stairs.

i didn't have any major problem with that group, as i use knock back+ Stun and kill in one hit, i had powered my Igni sign with combustions which helped a lot, and use pain oil which reduce enemy attacks a lot. its always to choice of the correct weapon + Style which make the different. if you see a shield or heavy armor = strong style, if enemy have duel weapons or mages = fast style ( group style for many).
if there is a mix of all, target the duel weapon enemy or mage and use group style so u can start the combo, if you target a heavy armored enemy , you will not be able to start the group style easily as you will not hit your main target.
I hope this helps
