Xbox Live Quest/Extra Downloads

I am thinking about purchasing the xbox optional quests, I was wondering though, do the quests become available during the game that you are half way through, or do you have to start a new profile?

All the ones I've played on both PC and 360 (frostcrag, thieves den, mehrunes razor & KOTN) work for existing characters; you'll just get a new quest log entry the next time you load a save game. Probably also true for orrery, but I've only played it on PC so I can't say with 100% certainty for that one.
