Alright, so I found Dive Rock, and had some little sad moments reading Agnar's Journal, so now I am wondering. Does the Uderfrykte Matron exist and if so where can it be found?

The Uderfrykte Matron does indeed exist. The beast (highlight): is atop the mountains, just down the ridgeline. It's invisible. It will attack ferociously without warning. It has massive health points. It has contents in its belly to loot if you can find it after you kill it. Good luck.
