Thieve's Guild Forged Letter Quest (SPOILERS)

I've spoken with the beggars and they've directed me to the abandoned house. I have a green arrow inside the house but The Stranger isn't there. Nothing is at the green arrow. I've waited 24 hours of game time to see if he is only there at a specific time and nothing. Is it possible he is dead or something?
Playing on the 360 so i dont have spawn npcs or anything.

I seem to have the same problem. I have however found no solution to it. I will quietly await for a solution, please assist us.

You don't read sticky threads at the top of forums, do you? Because there's one (helpfully labelled "HEY, YOU!") that deals with putting SPOILER in the thread titles of threads just like this one. I'm also changing your thread title, because in and of itself, it constitutes a spoiler.

In the future, you need to deal with this yourself, or risk temporarily losing your posting privileges.

Okay, Ive seen the stranger wandering around the castle at times, normally when Lady Umbranox is in her throne room, almost as though he is following her, watching her. I dont know if oyu can talk to him there, but when he is at home, he is upstairs sitting down in front of a desk arrayed with a quill, inkwell and I tihnk some parchment.
