Stuck! Confront the King (Possible spoiler)

I am on the mages guild quest line and I belive this is the last rank (Arch-Mage) But when I go to kill the King Of Worms all weapons, spells and arrows go right through him HELP!!!

this happened to me but it was a glitch or something because he was just walking up against a wall and then later my game froze...but than i loaded my game and killed him with an enchanted daggar, donno if that has anything to do with it but u could try using an enchanted weapon and/or a daggar

I Was using the blade of woe, the dagger you get at the end of the dark brother hood quests, I also tried using wizards fury, from the Mages guild, also used the mages staff of shock to try and kill him. Nothing Works!

I'm having the same problems too. I'm using an elven frozen bow with arrows of the inferno(20 fire damage). I also tried an elven long sword and some lower end spells.

Nevermind guys I just figured it out. I was about to go to bed and I fugured I would give it another shot and I jumped into the pool and ran away from him for a while until my breath was almost out and I drank a potion of waterbreathing, my breath was filled but the king of worms's was still at empty so he just ran out of breath and died(hallelujah). You could get him stuck in the tunnel leading from the pool into the room before the king of worms's room.
