***SPOILER*** Re-Steal A Ring

I've been working the past two game sessions trying to complete a quest in Leyawiin. It involves stealing a ring from the Countess.

I've talked to everyone and discovered that I need to follow a secret passageway from the basement to the Countess' private quarters.

Well, I've done all that and checked the jewelry box only to discover that she's still wearing the ring. Or, I should say, "WAS" wearing the ring. I pickpocketed it off her....if it was, indeed, the right ring....an Ebony ring. I've also cleaned out the jewelry box and yet my quest doesn't update.

I went back to talk to the person who originally gave me the quest and there's no conversation item to allow me to tell her that I do have the ring.

So, what am I missing? Or is it a glitch?

Yes you missing something...

After you have talked with Amusei, talk again to the jailor and ask about the ring. He will tell you about a women whos one of the countess'es personal servants. when to to her she will say that shes wearing it all the day except when she takes bath and when she sleeps. Then is the ring in the jewelerly box.

warning do is at night. and save often to not being caught from guards by action. Allways sneak too... wait for guards, and be sure the patrol route is free...

No, I actually did speak with Amusei down in the prison cell. He did tell me about her taking it off at night. That's why I'm doing this at 2 - 4 a.m.

I checked the jewelry box after pickpocketing the key to it from her while she was sleeping. Emptied the contents of the box and there was no quest update.

Checked her again for a Ring and she was still wearing one....while sleeping. Took it from her while she slept and still no quest update.

Problem solved!!!

I had to actually talk to the Countess about this ring. She, in turn, had to inform me herself that she doesn't wear it when she sleeps.

The rest was easy.

Had the same problem, but in my case talking to about everyone in the castle at 100 disposition towards me and going to the jewellry box around 3am still doesn't give me the ring, think I now tried about everything. Quest log and arrow point to the jewellry box as well and its still not in there while the coutess is sleeping...

Anybody knows if this may be due to the Sanguine Quest??
