| | | Speechcraft minigame how do you get this thing to work witout lowering the opinion of the character. When i try it i have to choose all four quadrants before the game ends. Usually i'm pretty rpg savvy but I'm a little confused at the whole point of this thing??? Anyone who has an opinion or can shed some light please enlighten away!

| | | Actually it's pretty easy
If you hover the cursor over each of the four quadrants you see the person's expression change there are four expressions: Angry, mildly annoyed, slightly positive and Happy
The trick is to choose the positive/happy ones when the wedge is almost or completely full, and to chose the negative ones with the wedge almost empty.
If you do it correctly you'll see the reaction going up slowly with each attempt. |

| | | yep, each time you choose that one that segment greys out and the wedges move round by one. therefore at the start youve got to plan what order you are going to do the wedges, trying to get small wedges on the angry face emotions and big wedges on the happy face.
its worth noting sometimes its impossible to come out with a positive balance but after playing around with it for about 30 minutes it seems the odds are firmly stacked in your favour. |

Makes it *much* easier to end up with a positive result.

Mercantile affects your ability to bargain up or down those rates, sometimes quite a bit.
