Unhappy Side step problem

I just got Oblivion today, and I started playing it, but I have a problem that makes my character side step to the left continuously. My character also moves really slow when I try to run. Please help me. I'm sad.

Several other people seem to have had the "constantly strafing left" problem - see this thread:

As far as your running speed, you probably just need to increase your Speed attribute and Athletics skill. Sheathing your weapon also letss you run faster.

if you are playing on pc make sure that you run with caps lock on it makes you run instead of walk.

Or just hold Shift when you want to run. Running takes Fatigue, and I'd rather fight without having to gasp for air every 5 seconds.

running doesent fatigue you it just increases the time it takes to recover from it (well on xbox anyway)

I got the problem fixed. It was my joystick tilting left. I turned it off.
