Problems with dropping items

So I finished the Thieves Guild questline, got the Grey Cowl and been to the new headquarters but can't seem to drop the items from the last quest. These include the Arrow of Extrification, Plans for the Big Heist and Instructions for the Grey Cowl that were obtained from the Ancestor Moths. Is there any way to drop this stuff or is anyone else having this problem?

You should have used the Arrow, I would think.

You can't get rid of Quest items.

Yeah, I picked it back up thinking I would be able to store it somewhere...the only thing I can think of is going back and using it again...

Yeah you can find it again after using it and pick it up, however if you try to equip it the game will tell you "You can't fire this quest item".
