Master destruction training (spoilers)

first off, I KNOW WHO TO GET IT FROM, THAT IS NOT MY QUESTION...

no, my question is is anybody else having major issues keeping her alive?? she was in a fight when I met her then immediately ran off at a fair pace to find another fight. I followed her around for a while as she did this, the only problem being she somehow ended up fighting two ogres and two wolves all at the same time, and through all my defensive and protective spells she still finally died. Ive reloaded a few times and this keeps happening.

Now given she not only has to live long enough to talk to you but also the duration it takes you to meet her demands and get as much training off her as possible, this would seem to require you to keep her alive for a long long time. has anyone found a good trick to achieving this?
