It depends on how you define a quest.

I counted over 136 quests done. I'd say that there are probably about 150 quests.

Depends on what you consider a quest, but I'll stick with ones that update your quest log (and not including add-ons like KOTN or Mehrunes' Razor). Main quest, FG, MG & DB have about 18 missions each. TG has about 11 missions. There are 15 daedric shrines, each of which can trigger a mission, and 21 master trainers (most but not all of them will send you on some mini-quest before they will agree to train you, plus you need a reference from a mid-level trainer and you have to have a skill of at least 70). There are also about 50 miscellaneous side quests you can get from NPCs in various locations, and they range from dead simple to the same level of complexity as some of the guild missions. That's about 175 quests, give or take.

Finally there are all kinds of self-directed things you can do that don't update your quest log (find all the wayshrines, find all the doomstones, collect complete sets of weapons/armor, etc.)

Yeah there is a lot of quests in oblivion. I have been looking for the exact number of quests. I had no luck finding the number of quests. I have done 198 quests. I still have to do some of the trainer quests and was wondering about getting kicked out of the different guilds. Do those count as quests getting back in because that would suck.

There are 216 quests in total,including All dlc,kotn and shivering isles.You can complete 216 but there are about 219-220 if you count the expelled ones,witch if you complete,you cant complete the specific guild questline,that is paradoxal so yeah there are 216 quests in total.

im on my hundredth an 2nd or so quest with 15 still active 1 of which is a quest statin ive been cast out ofthe thieves guild an have paid the rienstatment fine but the quest wont go away
an my wayshrines has to shrines labeled the same ie akatosh is labeled akatosh on wayshrine map but wen i find it it says dibella
