House in the Imperial City *spoilers*

Due the high accesability to several facilities with mages and fighters guild as exception i favor the Imperial City therefore plan to use it as a mercantile headquarters. However, the only available huse is one at the waterfront i will not risc to relocate my collection of items to such a place. (Possibility for theft i believe??) Thus, my question is as following, is it possible to buy a house of higher quality if f.ex the owners, lets say, dissapear?

are you sure its possible for your items to be stolen? Ive had very valuable stuff stored in that house for over 60 days game time now and not lost a thing.

As far as the W house goes, I have to agree with mordib here, have had it for days with a lot of things inside, and nothing is missing. I feared this as well, considering that I couldn't find for sure if the houses are 100% safe or not, but seems all right so far. By this logic, none of the houses are safe, if you deem W not to be. I don't think that one is an exception.

I am not sure you can buy a house if the previous owners ... depart ... for what ever reason. I don't think it can be done.
