OK, I kind of had this coming, but the character I'm running at the moment is a bit of a psychopath, and when she heard the story in Cheydinhal about Aldos getting kicked out of his house she ran up and "killed" the guard before Aldos could get there. The guard must have been an essential character, though, because he was just knocked unconscious. He revived by the time Aldos got there, and my screen froze for their dialog. Inevitably, Aldos attacked the guard, but because the guard's health was low from the beating I had given him, Aldos knocked him out again. Apparently that was enough for both of them, becuase when the guard came around the second time, they just stood there staring at each other. Unfortunately, my screen was still frozen (probably won't unlock until Aldos is dead). I can restore from my last save, but I'm wondering if a console code will A) unlock my screen and B) let the quest progress with Aldos still alive?

Hello im also stuck i have an xbox360 and i got the expition Shivering Isles
and Knight of the nine and there not working no quest no new items nothen im really mad this is not working is there a reason or what!!! if you know whz going on please tell me

I doubt you would be able to go on. I think that the whole motivation for the question is Aldos' death. If you were supposed to be able to save him, you wouldn't be frozen while they fought.

But go ahead and try anyway; I'd like to know how that would turn out.
