I noticed necklaces float a little above the standard un-modded player model. On my female Imperial wearing Black & Burgundy Outfit, that particularly bugged me after buying her a 400 septim necklace.
I've looked around for fixes, but I wasn't able to find any on Tesnexus. The search string may be a bit too difficult. Has anyone here ever seen anything that resolves this, either by changing something about the amulets and necklaces, or by changing something about the body models?

Of course, that's also meant mods adapting regular clothing to Exnem, but not jewelry. Never noticed difficulties with the latter, for what that's worth.

Might as well give it a try. I'll use the ones from your modlist.

Nope, it's still all floaty. Strange. It would seem like it would make a snug fit if it was just a little lower.

That would be a "no."
You're running the various patches, both official and unofficial, right?

| By the way, on Bethsy's forums and Tesnexus they say that it is normal and can't be fixed. Someone claims it might be possible through OBSE, and that's just the thing I don't want to install. | | |

I've never experienced any problems with it, or with mods that use it.

Oooh, a fashion chat! Having read this my female Breton, just HAD to rush straight to Divine Elegance and have a look, and yes the same problem with the Burgundy Outfit (base for the Finery). I hadn't noticed this before, basically 'cos it's not a problem, I'm usually focussed on where I'm going, or who I'm talking to or who (or is it whom) I'm killing. Even when I look at my inventory I'm looking at the inventory not the paper doll.
As it happens I had to go to DE because nothing I had with me, had the problem, either because the amulet was hidden or because the amulet sat properly, unless I took her clothes off, and well, a lady wouldn't do that in public, and definitely not right outside an Oblivion gate with Dremoras leering at her!
The simple solution is to open the CS and check the 'Hides Amulets' box, problem sorted; well unless your entertaining, ahem, visitors.

Err.. I just have a bit of trouble following you there, Galraen. Does that fix the floating necklace issue, or does that do something else? Also I know the editor, but where is that box?
Fable: I have an older system. Oblivion sorta runs okay unmodded. OBSE takes a significant toll on the available CPU sources, even without running OBSE specific mods with it. It's really a shame, because I know all to well the best mods are for OBSE.
Ironically, it was the same deal with Morrowind. Then too did I have an aging system that didn't take too kindly to the script extender.

I've never used either. Quote:

| Damn. Too bad. There are ways of stripping some of the stuff from Oblivion to make it run faster, if you need that, or you want to make a tradeoff and add OBSE. Again, ES is the place to go if you want to sit back and watch 5 or 6 mavens talk about what you can do to speed up your game.

My game is already optimized with ini tweaks and whatnot. Either way, in the end I was never able to gain the kind of performance gain able to make up for the performance hit OBSE and OBSE mods caused.

If you open any item clothing in the construction set you'll see a check box in the bottom left corner marked 'Hides Amulets', if this is checked (ticked) then when wearing that piece of clothing any necklaces or amulets will be invisible. Not sure what happens if you check the box with something like pants or boots, never tried it, but it does work with shirts and robes etc..
Not quite what you're looking for I know, but I also know that once you've spotted a glitch like that it can keep catching your eye.

Ah, point well taken. As far as one can even roleplay a character in Oblivion, I wanted her to be the rich merchant type. Looks like showing off all that wealth is going to be a little tricky.
I even made a merchant class for the occasion, without combat abilities. Strangely enough Oblivion is one of the few RPGs where you can get away with something like that.
