Fingers of the Mountain Spell (possible spoiler)

I completed the Fingers of the Mountain Quest some time ago, and recieved the spell. However I read somewhere that this spell increases with power as your Destruction level reaches each level eg 25, 50, 75. My Destruction skill is 66 but Fingers of the Mountain is still only doing 6pts damage in a 5ft radius.........have I got things wrong?

i think that the damage it does is fixed when you get it so a master of destruction will have it always at whatever but a nvice it will always be that so its best to get the spell when youre better

i had a simliar problem, my fingers of the mountain did only 20pts of damage where it should have been doing 90pts... I read that quest rewards are scaled to your level, so i guess that the spells power would have had a dramatic difference in strength if i had done the quest on level 30 compared to level 3

Be careful, though. I got it later in the game and it is the most powerful spell I have in my arsenal. I don't have it in front of me at the moment, but it does upwards of 90 pts of damage. The problem is, it costs 789 magicka to cast it. I only have about 500, and I don't think I am EVER going to be able to use it.
