FCOM and franOOOMMM

I've been thinking of reinstalling the game to try to play it longer than an hour without dying of frustration or boredom, by using Oscuro's, Fransesco's and Martigen's respective mod, with a "compatiblizer" like FCOM or franOOOMMM. But I'd like to have some other people's opinion about these mods, and especially the combination of these three, before I spend 2 gig of my monthly download limit
Are they somewhat in line with eachother? Is it bugfree? Is it enjoyable? Can you play the game without extensive attribute modifier management? Thanks in advance
