Canvas in the castle *misc quest**small spoiler*

I dont really know why I bother with this quest but I just cant complete it.

In Chorrol's castle you speak to the countess, she asks you to be an investigator and find out who stole the painting of the deceased Count.

I have been searching that f*cking castle for hours and I can only find two simple clues that leads to the castle mage.

I found the painting in the western tower and I found the painting supplies in the mages room.

But from there I cant find out anything at all. Help me please

It's ages since I did this quest, but somewhere there are some footprints that are one of the clues, in one of the dining areas IIRC. Sorry for being so vague, but it has been over a year.

The clue that I think your missing is a spot of spilled paint, I'm not sure but I think this spot is next to the castle dining table. I'm not sure if that's where the clue is but I know that's what it is. It's on the ground on a carpet in the castle, so just look for all carpets in the castle and stare at it I guess is one way to find the clue.

The paint spots are on the carpet from the dining room. I think they are in the corner on diagonal to the door as you enter the room. just look for them and access them when the cursor changes.

And the best part is, I can now buy a house in chorrol
