| | | have to say that telvanni have definately the fastest way to become the "boss". I mean there's 4(5?) mouths in tel naga that all give you quests at the same time and they're like:"bring me some muck that you can buy from the vendor over there".
Compared to the fighters guild:"here's 20ebony deliver it to somewhere, don't know where but it's out there, as far a way as it is possible" quests.
it's faster and easier than house hlaalu but haven't tried redoran though. but still all quest givers in one "basket" that's easy.. of course you need to do some quests directly given by the (bad memory day-mouth's bosses) but still.. |

| | It's my first playtrough, and I play the noble paladin-type so Redoran was my choice. I can't compare it to any other house since i've never joined Hlaalu or Telvanni, but seeing one person after another saying that Telvanni rocks, i am forced by my cuirosity to start an evil egoistic mage

| | Well, certainly not Redoran. I've never seen such god-awful missions anywhere else - going to the other side of Vvardenfell just to be a stinking messenger boy (or girl Very very paltry, boring missions, has House Redoran.) I must say, though, I'm caught between Hlaalu and Telvanni. I really love being a mage, and Telvanni's definitely the way to go in that department - but I also have played a sly, sneaky devil with speechcraft up the wazoo, and as those characters, I have really really enjoyed going the hlaalu route. Oooo, such fun missions! Same for Telvanni, though - very fun - though I really hate trecking all over tarnation every time I want to get to my patron. S'worth it, though.
@ DW: Aw come on, you've gotta try Telvanni. Just leave your conscience in another part of the house for an hour or two and strike up some fireballs!!!! (Or you could go Beornica style, make a spell called "ebola" that drains all the health of everything within 50 feet within one instant... har har har)

Well, funny you should mention that actually Last night, tired of all the slowdowns (and shutdowns) some of my mods were causing I made the radical decision of deinstalling everything and starting completely fresh, with just *one* character. This Dark Elf will do everything I have not done before, including becoming Head Machiavllian Mage with House Telvanni I just can't handle the Redoran ethos, and I really did not want to go the Hlaalu route again so soon after completing it.

| | finished with the telvanni couple days ago.. I have to admit, the only thing i'd wish is to have the stronghold somewhere else than in the ashlands. I don't get it, why's 2/3 strongholds in ashlands, It's so ugly and dusty out there and the blight storms argh. But the dwarven constructs are nice to have although completely useless in battle. It'd be nice to be able to recruit/give stuff to guards, like in the vampire embrace mod, it sucks that the only way you can get guards with eq you want them to wear is to become a vampire. |

| | | My favorite house is Hlallu
because:
1: They're the most sucessful (politically, anyway)
2: Their stronghold is the coolest
3: They don't (metaphorically speaking) piss on me for being an Argonian
4: "Uncle Craissus", though slightly creepy, is quite amusing
I tryed for a while being in Redoran, and the whole "honour above all else" theme kind of spoiled my experience, not to mention that I later learned they were kind of conjoined with the temple (which I only lasted in for 35 game days before being permanently expelled)
I've never actually been in Telvanni, and although the whole "Aethiest, bible-burning" theme kind of appealed to me, most of the councilers were always real arsefaces to me just because I was an Argonian

| | | Telvanni.. yes their quest give good rewards.. but that it.. Their towers are big mushrooms.. and in constant need of levitate potions/spells/items.. Most of their quest are boring.. they use slaves.. and seriusly most of them are insane too.. So personally..
So i dislike Telvanni..
As fo Hlaalu.. i just hate Hlaalu buildings.. and their stronghold is just so ugly.. and whole thief thing.. well that just doesn't fir for me..
But Redoran is the only house where i realy enjoy doing guests.. abd redoran building style is just beatifull.. and personally.. Ashlands are just beatifull.. and that honor thing.. well it just fits for me..
So House Redoran gets my vote..
And basicly poll's on elderscrolls forums.. thing will end like this..
Telvanni 42
Hlaalu 8
Redoran 38
there is -10 or +10 max.. but mostlythose end like i told you.. |

| | | my house for my character is definatly house Telvanni, i mean i don't know any other house where you actually get someone else to do missions, alright you might have to get something for it to be completed..but still it's a cool thing...plus it's good for starting out as they give you spells sometimes when you rise through the house ranks. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
