Question What do you name your enchanted items?

One of the neat features of the game is that you can name the items you enchant. I'm fairly new to the enchanting business (my first character finished all three main quests without everr learning how), but I am rather proud of my "Ring O'Life Suckage", which drains health 25-60 points per seconds for five seconds (created using a Dremora soul and an exquisite ring). It dropped a fully armored orc in two seconds flat. What have you named some of your enchanted items?

I just had a CE invisibility ring created last night and I called it "Shadow Stalker." I briefly considered naming it "Lord of the Shadows," but that would have been too cheesy, even for me!

Hmm.. and I have an amulet with CE levitation that I named "Amulet of Aviation." A bit incongruous to refer to something so modern in a D&D type of environment, but oh well

In a moment of weakness I also CE enchanted a robe with 2 points of restore fatigue and 2 points of restore health which I called "Robe of Eternal Vigour." But I don't wear it very much since it tends to be a tad unbalancing...

I once had the 'Shield of Eternal Life', a Glass Tower Shield with constant effect fortify health. I knew that taking forfity health potions was a bad idea at the time, because when they wear off, if you've lost more points than you had before the potion you die, but CE didn't seem to be a problem, that is, until the shield broke while I was injured....

My "Eowyn" character (she's a very pretty butt-kickin Breton, and she's tough like my darling LOTR character) has a very nice daedric spear which I call "Spear of Eowyn Frost-Hand". I'm not looking at it right now, but I'm pretty sure it's cast on strike absorb health 10 pts and frost attack 15 pts. I know spears aren't very good, and that's not a very good enchantment, but what the hey, Eowyn's level 55. She kicks butt no matter what. (Now if only she could say "I AM NO MAN", just before she beats the snot out of Dagoth Ur...)
I also have the "smarty pants" that she wears. They fortify enchant CE 20 pts, I do b'lieve. Trying to remember some good enchanted objects some of my past characters have created... hmmm....

It is pretty expensive, I think I paid around 80 K for mine. As far as gems and souls go, it really depends on the number of charges you want it to have. Stronger souls provide more charges and of course must be trapped in larger gems. You will need a soul trap spell, and "Ondusi's Open Door. When you go to the enchanter (or do it yourself...which can be difficult) a menu of your magic abilities will appear and I believe "Ondusi's Open Door" shows up as "Unlock."

It is more economical to just buy the Unlock spell, then make the spell with spellmaking to have open 100 to 100 points.. doesnt cost very much money and doesnt require an item.

I ususally have a spell called 'locksplitter' but often people aren't skilled in Alteration. But for 80k when you could spend a fraction of that on training and another tiny fraction on the spell it does seem a little steep. BTW does anyone know what happens if you have it over an area and CE, would the locks fall off anything you walked past?

[size=2]Enchanted Items are one of the BEST parts of the game in my opinion... Only if I could unenchant then life would be paradise...

I have really wierd names for mine, mostly copies from the game's originals like I have a shirt called "Wind Walker" *claps for the scroll of wind walker* and it lets me levitate constantly! whopee! an another ring called "Ring of the Wind" which fortifies my speed constantly for 24 pts... You may think: "whoa, that is SO cheap" but I have a problem in which when I drop EVERYTHING I still carry 74 pounds... hmmm... so now I have millions of constant effect items that fortify speed... "Ring of the Wind", "Shirt of Wind" etc... (Hwesta means "breeze" in elvish. )[SIZE]
