AAAAAHHHHHHH I dont know if I voted right!!! serial monogomy... that means that I only have 1 player at a time, but a string of them, one after another? oh my very second cahracter (i got his sign wrong, ATRONACH NOT APPRENTIC!! now i have a stupid weakness to magic and not even the same point increase as the atronoch...) is a light armor guy and i know this is in another thread but I couldnt find it... what do I have to do to get those punker dark brotherhood assasins to come after me... do I just have to be a certain level and sleep outside? Im level 2 and not rich enough for glass and i WANT that armor. thanks a bundle.

I was level 7 before the dark brotherhood attacked me. And I was sleeping inside. Just make sure you don't sleep where there's someone else in the room, like Caius or Nine Toes. I learned my lesson long ago. You hit Caius by mistake practically every time, then he comes after you, too.

I currently have two characters, both Imperial dudes and both essentially bards. One on XBox and one on PC. Keeping their story lines straight is so tough there's no way I could play more than two while still working the main quest.

Later, for role-playing the main quest, I wanna run a Dunmer witch-hunter. SPOLIER: I think there'd be some interesting role-playing as a guy who goes around hunting down heretics only to discover that he is one! END SPOILER. My first few times through a game I like to work on a character and a way through the game that delivers a good narrative for the main quest.

For just role-playing, I also want to start, like, a feral Kahjiit acrobat as well, one who absolutely loathes Elves for enslaving his/her people. I'm thinking to have him/her bound into the woods right after leaving the Custom's House in Seyda Neen. I wanna see how far he/she can get with no weapons besides claws, and without reading. Just a solitary, nocturnal hunter prowling the night emancipating slaves and shredding slavers. Kinda like John Brown, but with nine lives.

And fur.

HAHAHAHA now THAT's an awesome character. And you'd HAVE to have her wear dark brotherhood armour, and call her Catwoman. HAHAHAHAHA

I never shoulda brought the slaver killer thing up. Now that you guys are talking about it, I can barely wait to start, and I really wanted to get through the main quest first!

I've liked bards, especially just starting out in the game. The medium armor skill they come with may not be much of an asset; from what I've read it's a dismal compromise between hvy and light armor. (I've found some really good med. armor, but it ticks off Indoril ordinators to see me in it and they chase me all through Vivec and a couple other tons.) Block is an OK skill, but there's so many incredibly decent two-handed swords in the game it's almost wrong to bother with shields. But I've found the alchemy skills to be extremely helpful. Since you can instanteously gulp potions in the middle of a fight, it's like having a bunch of extra combat rounds; it's almost like cheating. I didn't appreciate the value of enchanting as a major or minor skill early in the game, but now it's great for recharging my swords and amulets and stuff.

In fact, I kinda hobbled the second character I made for my PC/expansion pack version of the game. It's basically a bard without enchantment or illusion and some extra stealth skills tossed in. It's working OK but I wish I'd dumped Block and/or Medium armor and kept Enchantment and maybe some other magic skill (the one that governs mark and recall might be smart).

ok well jsut dont make your person the apprentice by accident, when you are really trying to become the atronach, and not notice it until you have played for 5 hours and its too late!!!!! )#*$)@#(*$_#)*(%_!$#)@(#*$@)#($*)@#&%-8_@)($_.... lol ANYWAYS i wouldnt want to be a bard, jsut because its, well its a bard... I always make up my own classes anyway, death mage, ronin, etc... ok see what i do with block, i carry a light shield around and I switch my weapons all the time. 2 handed swords are incredibly sweet, but at the very same time they weigh a frigin ton and when i am going on salvage missions I dont want to be carrying around the extra fifty lbs. ok mark and recall are mysticism, but you can stalk up on 35 gold potions, and mysticism isnto good for much else. i would stick with illusion or.... that other thingy... lol.. ALTERATION!!! that one rules, be an alterator, haha.

I've never been able to name my custom class. I click 'create custom class' and do it, but then it won't let me select the word Adventurer to change it to what I want. Its actually quite annoying. Any thoughts on how I can correct this? I've had this problem on MW before and after my hard drive wipe so its probably me being inept. I can write a description though...

I had quite a few characters when I first started playing but I had to start over because of the various bugs in the game. My character is a level 75 Dark Elf and I am the leader in every faction that I can be leader in. How's that for commitment.

I thought I had that problem too... but I put my curser after the word "adventurer" and hit backspace until it was deleted which worked fine.

Ah.... thank you very much DW. Next time I create a character I can finally give him/her the class I want.
