taunt?

I'm doing the redoran quest where i have to get the founders quest, but when i taunt they guy so i can kill him he wont go it! when it is successful (rarely) he doesnt do anything, he says if its a fight you want you shall get one, than I leave dialogue and he just stands there. i attack him and the guards come. HELP!

when you taunt someone you must have more then one successful taunt. Until he says goodbye in red. After that he would just automatically fight you.

Some other kind people on this forum have proposed a couple of solutions to this particular problem: you could try the bribe and taunt method - taunt him until his disposition is zero, bribe him until he likes you again, taunt him some more and just keep going until he attacks. Or maybe a frenzy humanoid spell.

i dont have any spells or else i would have used that...i would bribe him till he likes me enough to just give it to me, but i'm saving gold for my stronghold that will begin construction hopefully soon...i tried the bribe and taunt method, i ran out of gold before i reached that point...but i'll keep trying. that you everyone.

Keep in mind that if you bribe someone then kill them-you get the money you bribed them back.

i know, the thing about saving was if i tried bribing him to 75 then he would just give me it...i wouldnt get that back.
