Unhappy strange graphics problem

Hi all,

Just bought and installed Morrowind and Ive encountered a very strange graphics problem - the bottom half of the screen appears to be underwater!

It doesnt affect my movement nor does it require me to waterbreath or anything but its very odd. also i see ghost trees.

Ive got all the most update drivers for my graphics card (poor Kyro II) and sort of stuck. Can anyone offer some ideas?

thanx in advance!!

I guess I'd start with a read me file to see if there are any known hardware conflicts documented.

From there, I'd here morrowind tech support forums although this one is fairly reliable also.

Next, set all graphics and sound options in the game to the bare minimum. If it runs well, start to engage options until you find your culprit. Odds are though, if you search enough forums, you'll find someone who had the same problem.

cheers and welcome to GB

did you encounter this problem right away or was it after some playing time? In the first case try starting the game over see if the same thing happens to you again. Or if you've been playing for some time the try going back to an earlier save before you encountered this problem. This could be just a bug. While I haven't heard of this problem before I have heard and have experienced similar problems. Usually reloading a saved game or starting over helps.

Heyas,

thanx for the replies

well i tried to re-instal but the problem was still there and i tried to put all the video options to a bar minimum even putting down the resolution to utter crap. however all to no avail. one thing i forgot to mention is that this is an outdoors problem only.

well off to search the tech support forums! thanx again!
