Stealing the recipe for House Hlaalu (spoilers)

I got bored again with my sorceress character (I guess I prefer the lower level characters, once they get to level 40 or so I just get bored lol) so I've started again as a Paladin type character (again customised). I decided I wanted to join house Hlaalu even though Redoran is better for fighters. I'm only joining the Fighters guild, Imperial Cult, Blades and Imperial Legion as my character would not really steal unless she had to do so. I'm on the second quest where I have to steal the recipe from the woman in Vivec. I can't for the life of me manage it undetected. Anyone have any tips as I don't want to have to kill her and I don't want any bounties as it would be out of character. I've tried invisibility potions but they don't work as she still sees me steal even if her back is turned. The ring of surroundings is not powerful enough to get away with it. And telekinesis doesn't seem to work either as its such as small room she still catches me. I thought about command and take her out of the room but I only have a lesser domination scroll and thats not enough to command her as I tried it.

Edit: Oh and I'm trying to steal the copy off the table as there is no way my character is good enough at thieving to pickpocket and its too much hassle trying to disable traps etc. on the chest without getting caught.

Any help or advice would be useful. Thanks in advance.

You're sure you can't persuade her to 100 disposition?

Just get the amulet of shadows then.
