spoilers~telvanni hort problem~

I am hort for hlaalu and redoran and nevarine for urshilaku and Ahemmusa. I have all the telvanni councilers in telvanni. The walkthrough says you do not need baladas's vote unless you are telvanni (I am house father in hlaalu). But when I talk to aryon he says go get all the votes. I searched back and couldnt find anything so I made this thread

Well Actually Spoiler below!!!!

If i remember correctly you do need baladas's vote then when u you have all of the councilors votes talk to Gothren And he will send you away The only way is to kill him.

After yhe is dead you might want to loot his body and body guards then return to master ayron to be named hortator of house telvanni

As I remeber it I was telvanni the first time I played. I only needed to tell Aryon and he immediatly made me hortator.
The second time I was Redoran and to be Telvani Hortator I didnt need Baladas's vote for anything. All I ahd to do was: (possible spoiler) get the votes from the other councilors and since Aryon said Gothren would never agree nor disagree I had to kill him.
Ofcourse it could have been a bug on my game and I could be wrong.

No go. Got baladas's vote but I went to Aryon and he said the same thing. Im so confused!

Are you sure you havnt done anything to mess with the story? Anyway have you killed Gothren yet? If you have then I have no idea what is wrong.

Im almost certain I havent messed anything up. Ill try to go back to everyone and see if maybe I got named hort by someone and then didnt save.
