Well, I'd say that replacing the soul gem you accidently sold counts as "unmessing" your game

If you continually use the console, especially to make radical changes (such as trying to alter your PC's race or something), then yes, you truly stand to cause serious problems with your game. However, if it is just used occasionally to alter minor things (and adding game items into your inventory is pretty minor), you should be fine. I've often used the console in a single game to fix various bugs, like vanishing NPCs, or edit my inventory if I've misplaced something important, and I've never had a problem.
If you have something like this again, just open up your construction set, and you'll find all of the item IDs listed there.
Also, on
this page you can find all kinds of console commands. While they can be used for some serious cheating, I really would not recommend it since it destroys the game experience (and MW is easy enough as it is), however, a number of them are certainly useful in those "Oops, I goofed," instances.
