spell making

i have been searching for a forum that describes all the ingredients and the effects they have in spell making but i am unable to locate any. i may be searching under the wrong subject. can any one get me a list or show me where to go to get a list. thank you.

You don't need any ingredients to make spells... you just have to know a spell with that type of effect, for example if you want to make a spell that does fire damage you must have at least one spell dealing fire damage already...

To make spells, just talk to the npc who has spell making as a service, and you will get interface to make your own spells...

*nods* Only the potions had a requirement for ingrediants. Enchanting items required the item and a full soulgem. Spells on the other hand just require paying a fee to the person who is helping you create the spells, nothing more.

You do need to pay attention in order to do it well though if I remember correctly. If you do something too strong, you may end up not being able to use it for 15 more levels or something like that.

thank you. i am retarded. i didn't know that and i appreciate your help. i am looking for potion making information. i will do a search for that first though before asking. thank you again for you help.

Try Darlandor's Lab. It has the full list of ingredients, effects, and lets you "build" potions abstractly to see the results.

There are some nice mods that add in-game alchemy books that list all the effects of various ingredients.
