Slaves

Hello,

Slight Change. Was looking around the site and read about a mod for enhanced slaves. I went to the site prescribed: http://www.planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com and found the mod for enhanced slaves. The mod requires bloodmoon and tribunal. Does anyone know of a enhanced slave mod for the base version of morrowind.

If anyone hears of anything please give me a shout.

Thanks,
Gramps

I'm not absolutely sure, but I seem to recall that the reason mods like this are dependent on the expansions is because they have the "Companion Share," feature and accompanying scripts. This allows you to give companions commands, equip them and have them carry items for you.

I suspect any mod that does the above will necessarily require one of the expansions.

Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong.

My suggestion, find the Morrowind Game of the Year Edition. It's pretty cheap these days, and excellent value for money, especially considering all of the good mods that you can't play without at least one expansion..

Nope you're spot on as usual, it's the reason most companion mods have an expansion dependency.

Mods

I'm not sure the mod for companion share requries the expansion. When I was looking around I found basically a "Sit" "Stay" mod for a slave. This mod required no expansion pack. I have all the expansions for the game, just choose not to install them because i'm not horribly far in the game. But I could be wrong.

The guy that created this mod I got said that he was coming out with another edition including Companion Share. So I don't know when thats coming out or if it will require an expansion.

But if you could keep your ears and eyes out for anything of the such it would be appreciated.

Expansions

Yea, one more question. Would you recommend to somone, who is just starting out in the game... level 1 kinda thing, just to install all of the expansion packs? Or do you think I should wait till i seriously increase in level to install the expansion packs??

Thanks
Gramps

I would definitely suggest installing the expansions. You don't have to go to the new areas until you are ready to. Though... (highlight for slight spoiler) you will have to deal with being woken up by assassins at least once, so be prepared...

The expansions actually make some annoying parts of the original game far easier to deal with. They provide the ability to annotate your local map, and most importantly.. the journal becomes far simpler to sort through.
