One more Hunt/werewolf question (SPOILERS)

So, 1st time i was going to hunt my PC become a wrewolf just while i was preparing. I checked back and couldn't se any evidence he was ever infected (save the 1st unavoidable ocassion - immediately cured).
Due to several reasons i had to start anew from some point. This time there was a single (daylight) day between report from castle Kartaag and the Hunt. No Lycanthropy this time.
So i'm just curious is it supposed to become werewolf before the Hunt if one is postponing the rest long enough, or the infection just isn't showing up at some conditions (if loaded from savegame).

There are two ways to contract Sanies Lupus - via the Main BM Quest and through a random encounter with a werewolf in the Wild. It sounds like the latter happened. BTW, those Gibbering and Insane Lunatics are werewolves.

Well, altogether i checked all savegames between the first infection (and curing) and the last encounter. It should have to show up in effects bar, shouldn' t it? There was no hint about the infection, however, even in the save just before 12am, when the shapechange started.

Yes, initially, you have a Drain Fatigue effect, but that goes away after 3 days.
