| | | Multipliers and Skill/Stat caps I am too lazy to read every thread on stats/skills...
I want to max my stats my first time through this game. Is it possible without being anal about every level? I mean, if you only get the bare minimum multiplier (x2) every level, can you get a level 100 stat by playing/training long enough? Thanks. |

| | Calculate yourself Sum up all you initial main (major and minor) skills, let's say it's S.
The max level you could ever reach (w/o exploits/cheats) will be
(1000-S)/10 + 1 ; (+1 since you start with a level already)
What would you do with your stat modifiers is up to you, you may even choose at level-up those with single 1 multiplier - in fact for Luck it's always so. Max. for a stat increase is 5, min. is 1, exactly 3 stats should be increased each time.
IMHO it's a good idea to max at some first levels at least Endurance, since the increase in Health each time is just 10% of your former Endurance.

Thus, the higher your endurance, the quicker your health goes up. |

It sums up. Let's suppose you haven't added any Endurance up to 12 level or added 5 points every time. Let's assume that Endurance is your favorite attribute (so you start with 40, otherwise it's 30 for most part). If first case you had in total 44 points added to the health. In second - 74. My most recent Breton char started (custom class) with Endurance as a favorite attribute and had just 40 Health on the release from jail ...
On first levels a char usually die from a hit or two from a Cliff Racer or a Cave Rat, and Skeleton Archer permited to shoot is just death as well. With PC levels growing the levels of random opponents and their power grow as well, in certain places also in numbers. Even with maxed Endurance a char of 8th-10th level hardly can manage to stand against a Dremora in h2h, not mentioned a Dremora Lord what's also good enough spellcaster.
Now, assume you hadn't changed Endurance futher - by level 32 you'd have 80 more for the first kind of politics and 180 more for the second, 124 and 258 in total. Don't know, though, if there's a difference, you decide

| | | EDIT: I understand now, you level endurance early because you don't have infinite levels (unless you exploit). Thus, you want to get it to 100 as soon as possible if you are powergaming :P, because all the levels you gain in others skills will give you 10% of your previous life.

| | | One different but related question.
If Sneak is a major skill with x3 multiplier for Agility, and Marksman is a miscellaneous skill leveled once for a x2 multiplier to Agility, is there now a x5 multiplier for Agility? Faqs I read seemed to suggest this, just wanted to check here.

| | | Yes, they are cumulative.
However, if you had the first PC version (and i have heard that it's true also for the first plain Morrowind for xbox), the increase made in misc skills using trainer did not went into score, only field experience. Later patch changed it (i do not say "corrected" since i still believe that change was wrong). GoTY now sums up without problems on both platforms AFAIK.

| | Woo, finally started playing, and I'm all patched up--this game is great, esp. now that I understand how the leveling system works. Peace Lore, thanks for all your tips. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
