| | Mods of Magery I think I may have finally hit upon a character I like so much that she will probably complete everything in the entire game (plus expansions).
She is a Dunmer (well actually she is also part Bosmer, and has bright blue eyes instead of red) who excels in the art of stealth and in the school of illusion magic. Ashantira has gained complete control of both House Telvanni and the Mage's Guild. Somewhat ill-disposed to the Imperials, she is loyal to House Telvanni (though she does wrestle with the slavery issue), and she rose through the ranks of the Mage's Guild because it is advantageous to know one's enemy.
Currently, she is a master of Illusion and she is seeking to acquire complete command of all schools of magic.
All of that to say that I am looking for good mods geared to mages
I already have: "The Theurgist," "Teleportation Spells" and "Tome of Knowledge," as well as a couple of mods that expand Tel Uvirith a little bit. Candidates under Consideration
* Illuminated Order
* Cult of the Clouds
* Daedric Sorcery
* The Mystic's Path
* Magical Trinkets of Tamriel
Does anyone have experience with the above? Can anyone suggest additional mage-oriented mods I might want to look at?
Note: I am also familiar with this page of mage mods over at Mythic Mods, and some of these look quite good, but I'm always wary about adding mods I don't know much about, so I would appreciate any suggestions.

| | | Magical trinkets of tamriel is a great mod - makes spellcasting a bit more interesting, and adds great items to random loot. It can be combined with armoured skeletons gone wild, which is cool.
I didn't get into Daedric Sorcery... The diary entries and directions aren't great...
Not played any of the others...
I can recommend The Lost City, and Apostates to (or of) Oblivion are a great couple of story mods. TLC isn't STRICTLY a mage mod, but I think Apostates to Oblivion (a witch-y kind of mod - you know the witches in the naked Nord quests..?) works better if played after TLC. |

| | Magical Trinkets: excellent mod, but get version 3, not 4, which was only released in beta. There have also been rumors that version 3 causes all the wonderful new content to move ahead of other randomly dropped treasure in containers, but I have no confirmation of this. I can say that I've been greatly pleased by MT3.
Tome of Knowledge and The Theurgist are fun, aren't they? I especially like the doddering but powerful old theurgist's dialog.

| | @Greg,
thanks for the heads up on Daedric Sorcery... I wasn't too sure about it, which is why I asked here, and I'll certainly check into the other two mods you mention.
@Fable,
yep! It's funny, as I was appreciating the dialogue of the old mage I thought about mentioning the mod to you since I figured you'd enjoy it, but then I reasoned that you, no doubt, would already be familiar with "The Theurgist."
I have to say.... I really do like the Telvanni
I did check the MTT versions, and I was planning on #3, since I'm wary of betas, thanks for the warning anyway though.

| | | Cult of the Clouds I thought was pretty good. Illuminated Order seemed bug free , and well thought out however (possible spoiler follows): It's an 'evil' oriented mod, among other things you have to work for a vampire, and the end objective seems to be to become a lich. Can't be totally positive about the last as I never completed the mod, but it definitely implies that early on.. Spoiler ends |

| | | Where can you download "The Theurgist" and "Tome of Knowledge"?
Some of the scripted spell mods could work in your favour - shapeshifting might be your character's thing... Also, writing enhanced and similar mods might be good for writing discoveries down. A scroll enchanting mod might work well for you also... (There are many on summit...)

| | @galrean,
thanks, I had noticed that about "Illuminated Order." I'm thinking for now I'll go with "Cult of the Clouds" which is a good complement to "The Theurgist."
@Greg, here are the download links for those two mods: Cult of the Clouds Tome of Knowledge
Funny you should mention that. Last night I actually installed: Scrollbooster and Kai Globes, which I thought would go along nicely with MTT3.
I once tried a mod for shapeshifting spells. Alas, it didn't really work all that well.
For anyone who is interested, I really do recommend checking out the mage page at My Mythic Mods

| | | The only item I can think of that summons multiple creatures is one that Aryon gives you if you're House Telvanni, but that's one of each Atronauch, not the same creature.
I tried making a CE Summoning item, it consistently crashed the game after a while, the game doesn't seem to be able to cope with it. |

| | Cult of the Clouds was fun - I had a good time with the rings.
I had some fun with Regional mana when I played a mage. Just make sure you understand the implications before installing .
The EJB Spell Organizer mod was pretty useful although it doesn't label all spells.
You probably know about Emma's and Grumpy's 'The Witchgirl's Adventure'? You can find it at Emma's site.

| | I didn't care much for daedric sorcery. I played this mod: Rise of House Telvanni, along with a bunch of other quest mods, like God Mod, Suran Underground, Horror Mod, Beyond ysgramor. It's quests for the head of Telvanni to increase the power of the house, I don't remember which were particular to the mod, though; you get chambers in sadritha mora council, and I think you can give some quests to your mouth.
