Mastrius (possible spoilers)

I was exploring the Red Mountain region a bit while I was going from one Dwemer ruin to another gathering the quest items and I came across a tomb. At the bottom of the tomb was a guy called Mastrius who looked like he was half dead lying on the floor. Anyway, so I healed him to see if I could get him to chat to me. He eventually got up and I talked to him but he had no dialogue options other than about the place you go to for Bloodmoon. Who is this guy - is he part of a quest I haven't come across? I'm assuming he is a vampire from how he looked but he didn't attack me at all like other vampires that I have stumbled across in tombs. I'm planning to do a vamp clan after I have finished the main quest as I already know how to get cured again thanks to my mages quests.

I think he may be part of a quest given to you by the ashlander who you meet on the main quest. The one that tells you about ashlander customs.

He's supposed to have a quest for you. It's covered in the Gamebanshee Vampire Quest Walkthrough.

I had a quest from the Ashlanders involving tombs but I'm a long way past that so I don't think he is from that (I only have Dagoth Ur left to do now in the main quest and I have followed the main quest without skipping any bits). Or did you mean it was an extra quest?

I'm not doing any Vamp quests yet so I haven't looked at that - plus I don't want to use a walkthrough on my first run through the game. Do you know which Vamp clan he is in

The guy I'm talking about is in a tomb within the ghostfence - I did that bit of the main quest and there was no mention of a Mastrius. I remember him mentioning (or someone did) a son that had gone missing but I have no quest in my journal for that and Mastrius only had the Solstheim topic in his dialogue, nothing else.

I can't remember without going back to read the walkthrough, but it's one of the quests that can be done no matter what your clan is.

Oh. I missed the tomb bit. if he only had solstheim topic you probaly have to do something to activate the right diologe.
