Major game performance

Don't know how many of you have seen this but after doing some of the tweaking found here (specifically increasing agp apeture to 128megs in bios, lowering clipping to 80%, turning off anti-aliasing (which has no detrimental effects on graphical quality at 1600x1200), doing the geforce card tweaks listed except the contrast trick, and setting virtual memory to 1.5x your ram), my 800 T-bird system runs the game smooth as silk. And I don't know why but I haven't had a single CTD since I did all this. Anyway, figured I would pass this along. http://www.tweaktown.com/document.ph...=guide&dId=316
BTW, my system is, as stated above, a 800 T-bird with 512 megs of Crucial ram and a Geforce 3 Ti 500. Hope this helps some of you.

Nice material. I wonder if you could summarize here, perhaps, a few crucial tweaks to the game's INI file that might make some difference to owners of all graphics cards, rather than any specific video card.

Ummm, I would love to take the credit for that article but since I didn't write it, it would be slightly inappropriate. I was just passing along what I considered a good performance enhancing overview.
