Little Secret help about Azura's Coast According to Kaye (shrine sergeant at the Imperial Chapels in Ebonheart), his friend went to Azura's Coast and came back with a ton of cash. He said something about a drunk guy and wasn't very specific about the location. So does anyone know anything about this rumor of some sort of "big spender" on Azura's coast? |
Its the talking mudcrab, do a search andyou can find the location its been covered a bunch |
Are you sure it's the mudcrab? I was really hoping it wasn't. |
Yeah its the mudcrab |
Blake's right: it's definitely the talking mudcrab. Besides, how many fantastic cash sources do you need in one area? ;) |
I was hoping I could find a cash source that has more than 5000 gold, come to think of some, I recall some merchants in Mournhold or was it Solstheim having more than 5000 gold... I should check :). |
Yes, but that's the add-on. The mudcrab is right there for you, 24/7, on your home turf. It's like having a permanent bank around the corner. ;) |
Screw the mudcrab. I've probably killed it by mistake. :D |
Gawd... I never thought of that, I mean i didnt know there was a talking mudcram for the first 4 months i was playing this game and now after i have scoured every island underneath vivic temple... s#!%... |
muddy isn't in an island under Vivec. he's on a very very tiny island just south east of Mzahnch. Look at your paper map. See the "h" at the end of the word? That H is covering up the island Muddy's on. ;) |

Nope, that was a lot of gold though, but we are talking about merchants. |
the talking mudcrab is not hostile, and wont try to kill you. he has 10,000 if you want to sell him booze, i think that all he buys. |
Restocks, too, over time. I'm not sure how often, but you can return to it and it'll keep buying a great deal of your overflow. Good place to put a mark/recall, especially if you keep a separate teleport ring to a house mod. |

58 peices of crab on the wall... YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!!!!! i jsut spent 3 frigin hours searching every island, STARTING FROM THE WEST! a level 7 character isnt very fast either... i have killed every single mudcrab who doesnt talk, and I HAVE 58 PEICES OF CRAB MEANT!!! drrrrr... i might just kill this stupid cretaure when i find him just for the inconvenience... how much money doeshe actually have? i have heard 5-10K, but if creeper has 5 K then whats the difference? |
he has 10k but its really not worth it... I mean you can sell creeper daedric weapons for 5k and still become a multimillionaire |
ya, but i will jsut do a mark and recall with muddy, i mean its an extra 5 grand a pop for daedric katanas... and at level 7 my character neds all the training cash he can get his hands on. |
If you sell Creeper soul gems, and the glass daggers you can kind of use them as currency, and sell your deadric kanata (40k) for 5k, plus 5 glass daggers and 2 soul gems with souls in (you've already sold him these you see, buying them back just knocks money off the price of your DK, until you are only getting 5k for it, but you get all this other stuff too), wait 24 hours, sell him one dagger back, wait another 24 and continue until you've sold him everything back, you'll be 40k richer. DM |
can you sell mud crab (heretofore reffered to as muddy) soul gems? and theres the advantage with muddy, you can just take a 24 hour nap right next to him, creeper is in a house and you have to go out and find lodgings. If you, as fable suggested, put a mark and recall spell by the mudcrab you can get rich a lot faster than with creeper, dont you think? |
No, you can still wait 24 hours with Creeper and you don't have to deal with enemies interrupting you. Muddy has more gold, but I'm not sure if he buys everything? I just use Creeper with a mark and recall. |
The thing is, although you can become fabulously wealthy, unless you pay to train up in all your skills there is not that much to actually spend cash on. There are only so many items you can have enchanted (unless you want to make the game even easier than it already is), and having spells created is not all that expensive... Given these realities and the fact that it is so much of a hassle to sell high-priced weapons and armour, I'm becoming increasingly convinced all of those 15 K + items you acquire are really just intended as collector's pieces. Okay, sorry for the cynical rant :p *crawls back into cave* ;) |
