| | | Better only from a power-playing perspective. Light armor means the ability to carry far more, while medium could be fine for someone interested in roleplaying. You can get through the game fine with just medium armor.

There's not really much, if any, good reason to have high ratings in all the armors. You're only going to wear one, so you should put other skills in the major/minor section.
The only reason to raise the armor ability of armors you don't wear is to get the attribute bonuses. |

| | | I recommend starting light but train in both light and heavy. Light starts you very well especially with Tribunal (DBs) and is compatible with Da Boots and Da Cuirass, along with reducing weight, while heavy is necessary for Wraithguard. |

Unfortunately, the developers made it so the only way to get high endurance (hit points) was through medium and heavy armor. This doesn't mean you need to plan on using either, but if you want reasonably good hit points, you'll consider using 'em if for nothing else than cheap fights with fish.

| | | True. I wish they'd made axe endurance-based, or maybe athletics (which would make sense, after all).

| | | I'm trying to follow the inputs here, & it's getting more and more fun.
I agree with Maruchan, the player should practice all the skills, even Unarmoured.
For exempel: After I've killed all the smugglers in a cave, I like to leave all the armor at 'home', wherever that is, and just carry a shield & a longblade. Then go back to that cave and carry as much as I can, to bring back all the objects home.
Heavy armor is useful in other situations, but only if you are stationary.
Like this one:
Morag Tong has their homebase in Arena Canton, Vivic. After you have killed and cleaned out someone's manor in Vivic, you can bring the whole set of, let say Steel armor & Steel tower shield, & put it in the manor. When you get some duties, which is placed in Vivic, you go to the manor and put it on. Then do the duty and put the armor back in the manor. That way, you don't have to travel so much.

| | | I like medium as a general rule. light does have its advantages - speed, jumping around like a freak, the ability to carry far too much useless rubbish in your inventory - but I like the extra protection with medium. of course, it is generally less available and the indoril stuff rather annoys ordinators.
and I can't stand heavy. it can look pretty impressive, but it kills your mobility and your spare weight capacity. if you aren't teleporting around or dumping absolutely everything you don't really, really need to carry, it can be annoying.
and I feel naked unarmoured. might be amusing at high level - and you'd level up fast - but it's not good at lower levels.

I just wear it all at the same time some heavy, light and medium to keep it norm. |

| | | Hey, your call. I was a big spear user one game, so endurance got up that way and I got trained in heavy and medium. In my latest game I had the helm of Oreyn Bearclaw, so that helped too. |

| | I enjoy Unarmoured because then I have good mobility, and along with Athletics as a Minor, I can move at a nice speed, I need the extra space in my inventory to alchemical ingredients anyway
Also, I love choosing a new outfit everyday |

| | For a complete glass armour, go to {highlight -> Ghostgate, in one of the lower levels of one of the towers is a Glass smith, you can steal a whole set of Glass Armour from him easily, I did it when I was at lvl. 2 and my sneak was 5, I know its cheesy, but I was so happy when I found it, and that's also why I got bored of her at lvl. 4 !<-highlight} | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
